Dual stakes winner Norman Asbjornson has been retired from racing to stand at Dr. William O. Solomon’s Pin Oak Lane near New Freedom, Pa.
The 6-year-old son of Real Quiet—Merryland Missy, by Citidancer, will stand for $2,500, or $1,500 for multiple mares.
Norman Asbjornson excelled at route distances, winning the 1 1/16-mile Roanoke Stakes at Parx Racing and the 1 1/8-mile Harrison E. Johnson Memorial Stakes at Laurel Park, both in 2013. Also graded stakes-placed, he retired from racing with a record of 6-8-2 from 26 starts, for earnings of $536,600.
Norman Asbjornson was bred in Pennsylvania by Horseshoe Valley Equine, Thomas McClay, and Harry Nye III. McClay and Nye also campaigned him throughout his race career.
