Multiple graded stakes winner Miss Behaviour retired

Miss Behaviour, a multiple graded stakes winner of nearly $800,000, has been retired, trainer Phil Schoenthal announced Thursday via Twitter.

Schoenthal tweeted that Miss Behaviour, a 4-year-old filly by Jump Start, has been booked to Speightstown and that progress “in her rehab over four months hasn’t gone as hoped.”

Bred in Pennsylvania by her owners, Cal MacWilliam and Neil Teitelbaum, Miss Behaviour was very precocious, winning three races to start her career as a 2-year-old in 2013, including the Sorority at Monmouth Park and the Grade 2 Matron at Belmont. She won twice as a 3-year-old – the Miss Preakness at Pimlico and the Grade 3 Charles Town Oaks – before being sidelined with a suspensory injury from which she has not fully recovered.

Miss Behaviour had 5 wins and 4 seconds from 12 starts for earnings of $790,834. Her final start resulted in a sixth-place finish in the Raven Run at Keeneland in October.
