King of Prussia Stable’s Princess of Sylmar, a four-time grade I winner, sold for $3.1 million Nov. 3 at the Fasig-Tipton November sale.
Her dam, Storm Dixie, brought $1.9 million not long after.
Four-year-old Princess of Sylmar was purchased by Shadai Farm. Bred in Pennsylvania by Ed Stanco, majority partner in King of Prussia, Princess of Sylmar at 3 fired off wins in four consecutive grade I stakes: the Kentucky Oaks, Coaching Club American Oaks, Alabama, and Beldame, the latter against older females.
Princess of Sylmar, by Majestic Warrior out of the Catienus mare Storm Dixie, was sold as a broodmare prospect. She was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
Storm Dixie was sold to Olin Gentry, agent for an undisclosed buyer, in foal to Tapit, which generated interest among buyers. She was the property of King of Prussia Stable as well.
