Real Solution Retired to Stand at Ramsey Farm

Multiple grade I winner Real Solution has been retired from racing and will stand alongside his sire Kitten’s Joy   at Ramsey Farm for the 2015 breeding season. His fee will be $12,500 stands and nurses.

Bred by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, foaled in Pennsylvania, then raised at their Ramsey Farm near Nicholasville, Ky., Real Solution started his career out in Italy. He broke his maiden at first asking at 1 3/16 miles. He then won his first two races at 3, including the Premio Botticelli.

At 4, Real Solution was shipped to trainer Chad Brown. His first year in the U.S. produced a victory in the 2013 Arlington Million (gr. IT) and placings into two other grade I races—the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap and the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational Stakes. He won the Manhattan this year and retired with five wins, two seconds and two thirds from 15 career starts. His career earnings total $1,374,175.

Real Solution is the first foal out of the winning Pulpit mare Reachfortheheavens.
