Aysoob Stud Farm of Saudi Arabia has purchased Pomeroy and Flashy Bull to stand at Suliman ibn Zu’air Stud Farm in 2015.
Pomeroy, a 13-year-old son of Boundary—Questress, by Seeking the Gold, previously stood at Rockridge Stud in Hudson, N.Y. Flashy Bull, an 11-year-old by Holy Bull—Iridescence, by Mt. Livermore, previously stood at Penn Ridge Farm in Harrisburg, Pa.
“We are excited to add two such accomplished stallions to our roster and think they will be embraced by our breeders,” said Abdulaziz Albarjes, owner of Aysoob Stud Farm, in a release.
Pomeroy is currently the leading sire of 2-year-olds in New York this year with nine juvenile winners, and ranks fifth in that state by earnings and third by number of winners in 2014. From seven crops of racing age, his progeny have earned in excess of $8.2 million.
Grade I winner Flashy Bull is the sire of 2014 stakes winners Flashy American and Balooga Bull. From six crops of racing age, Flashy Bull’s lifetime progeny have amassed earnings of $7.5 million.
According to the release, Suliman ibn Zu’air Stud Farm was established in the early 1990s and has been home to such stallions as Shaniko (by A.P. Indy) and Sabre d’Argent (by Kris S.), and currently stands Roaring Fever, a son of Storm Cat.
