Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course has released the 2013 live racing calendar, following approval by the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission at its meeting on November 15.
Additionally, the Commission approved Penn National’s request to offer Superfecta wagering on all races with at least six betting interests, starting on Tuesday, November 20. Previously, Penn National had only been offering Superfecta wagering on races 2, 4, 6, and 9.
Penn National’s 2013 live racing schedule comprises 200 days. In January and February, live racing will be conducted three days a week (Thursday – Saturday), while March through December, live racing will generally be conducted four days a week (Wednesday – Saturday).
Exceptions are the following: Live racing will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23, Monday, August 5, and Tuesday, November 26, while there will not be live racing on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, or Christmas, Wednesday, December 25.

This coming Wednesday, November 21, Penn National will offer a Thanksgiving Eve card featuring four stakes races worth $475,000, highlighted by the inaugural running of the $200,000 Fabulous Strike Handicap. Entries for Wednesday night’s card will be drawn on Saturday.
