Parx Officially Lifts EHV-1 Quarantine

An almost two-month quarantine tied to equine herpesvirus at Parx Racing in Pennsylvania has been officially lifted, a track official said Jan. 13. “We are all clear,” director of racing Sal Sinatra said. Stakes Winner Patton Euthanized

Patton, a stakes-winning son of Lord at War and a retiree at Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement farm in Georgetown, KY, was euthanized at Hagyards Equine Medical Institute January 5th.
