Rockport Harbor to Pin Oak Lane in PA

Multiple graded stakes winner Rockport Harbor   will move from Darley near Lexington to stand the 2013 breeding season at Dr. William O. Solomon’s Pin Oak Lane Farm near New Freedom, Pa. The 10-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song   will stand for $7,500.

Rockport Harbor is Kentucky’s top-ranked third-crop sire of 2012 by number of winners with 87 and ranks among the nation’s leading third-crop sires by progeny earnings this year.

Rockport Harbor’s stakes winners this year include Pataky Kid, winner of the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III). Pataky Kid is one of 11 juvenile winners by Rockport Harbor this year.

“Rockport Harbor is a perfect fit for our farm and the state of Pennsylvania,” said Dr. William Solomon, who also teams with Darley to stand Offlee Wild at Pin Oak Lane. “He shows time and again that he can get you a very good, very solid runner, and he will be in high demand.”

Rockport Harbor’s 21 stakes horses include May Day Rose, winner of the 2011 Railbird Stakes (gr. III) and the Santa Ysabel Stakes (gr. III). Rockport Harbor’s other stakes winners include 2012 victor Heidi Maria and Banner Bill. Rockport Harbor has career progeny earnings of more than $8.3 million.

Rockport Harbor was undefeated in four starts at 2, winning the Remsen Stakes (gr. II) and the Nashua Stakes (gr. III). He is out of the stakes-winning Copelan mare Regal Miss Copelan.
